Hebrews 11:1

"NOW faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Father, let the level of Your kind of Life rise in those who read these words,

in Jesus' Name.

Some other versions

Faith is in the "NOW" tense of time.

 "I AM THAT I AM"

"will" is a future tense word,

"was" is a past tense word,

"am" is a present tense word.

An example of the 'cycle of faith':  the woman with the issue of blood

Mark 5:25-34

She had said within herself:  "If I can but touch the hem of his garment, I will be made every wit whole."

Notice the tense:  "If I can, I will be made", (future tense)

It would have been nonsensical for her to continue saying this WHEN she touched the hem of his garment.

I can hear her saying, as she touched, 

"NOW, I am being made every wit whole!"

Her faith gave substance or brought into her being what she had previously hoped for.

WILL BE became NOW.

This woman is an example of the 'cycle of faith'....

set this cycle of faith into time.

Her beginning statement (If I can), was a one point in time, her touching Jesus' garment was at another point in time.  In between, the cycle of faith was flowing forward to her manifestation.

Her faith was moving forward along the line of time, and each moment was a NOW

of faith.

Look at the hourglass .... I particularly chose a picture that shows the individual grains of time flowing and a man looking intently at them.

We are going to learn something about the cycle of faith by looking at this hourglass.

Look at the top with the individual grains of sand.

Look at the bottom and the grains falling down into it.

The most important part is the smallest part of the hourglass where the individual grains of sand are flowing through.

One grain of sand at a time, yet constantly flowing through that little opening.

The future flowing through the present and into the past.

The smallest part of the hourglass represents the present.

Focus your eye on the smallest part, for it is the NOW of your life.

Think of the individual grains of sand as individual moments of time.

Individual moments of time in YOUR life.

God is at that NOW point of your life.

That is where FAITH MEETS HIM.

Hope...upper part of hourglass....future....wanting....prayers prayed

Faith...middle....NOW.....receiving

Substance....bottom....past tense....having....prayers answered

Hebrews 11:1

Speaking of the cycle of faith again....

let's look at the hourglass again....

this time the hourglass is full of little grains of faith.

The measure of faith God has given you is in the top half of the hour glass.

Faith that is stored up for you.

Those grains of faith flow.....

when you walk in the Spirit and talk in the Spirit, 

and live in the Spirit day by day.

The faith that collects in the bottom is 'spent' faith, faith that has finished its cycle concerning a certain matter, an answer to prayer that it has brought into manifestation.

Oh I walk in the Spirit,

and I talk in the Spirit,

and I live in the Spirit day by day.

I'm alive in the Spirit and I thrive in the Spirit,

and I walk with my Lord all the way.

This isn't just talking about the Holy Spirit, it is also meaning YOUR human spirit. The Holy Spirit LIVE in your spirit and when you walk by your spirit, you are walking by the Holy Spirit.

top:  hope

middle:  faith

bottom:  substance/answer

Definition of 'cycle' we're looking at today:

an interval of time during which a sequence of a recurring succession of events or phenomena is completed, such as a 4-year cycle of development.

Jesus used crops as illustrations of the 'cycle' of the harvest:

 Mark 4:27-29

seed....stalk....head of grain.....ripened.....harvest

John spoke of the 'cycle' of spiritual growth:

1 John 2:12-14

child....young man....father

Child....knows their sins are forgiven.

Young man....is strong, the Word of God abides in him, and he is getting experience in overcoming the wicked one.

Fathers.....know God in a way the children and young men don't know Him. (John 17:3)

The 'faith' of the child, goes through a cycle....and pretty soon the devil can't trip you up any more, like a person can trip a child.

Faith begins to get muscles as its growth cycle continues.

Do you notice the word, 'phenomena' is associated with the definition of 'cycle'.

Phenomena: something that is impressive or extra-ordinary; a remarkable or exceptional person; a wonder, a marvel, a miracle.

You are a miracle....if you have been born again you are a phenomenon in this world.

You just can't see the 'real you' because of the veil of flesh that you live in.

But God sees the real you, so do the angels and the devil.

If any man be in Christ, he is in a new world altogether.

"If anyone has entered into fellowship with Christ, a new world has at once opened upon him, an old world has passed away."(Stanley)

"When anyone is united to Christ, there is a new world; the old order has gone, and a new order has already begun." (New English Bible)

Grow up in grace.

Grow up in your knowledge of the Word and the things of the Spirit.

Grow up in your ability to overcome the wicked one.

You are a phenomenon in the spirit world, and that is the real world.

Live 'from' that world in 'this' world.

You are a spirit having a human experience.

Galatians 2:20

"It is no long I that liveth, but Christ that liveth in me".

That is the consciousness we are developing.

Developing Christian Consciousness

In those early centuries of Christianity, Christianity did not go into the world apologizing. It went to slay the powers of darkness and undo the works of the devil, and it lived in holy triumph.


We have not yet learned to keep in touch with the powers of God. Once in a while our soul rises, and we see the flame of God accomplish this wonder and that, but beloved, Jesus Christ lived in the presence of God every hour of the day and night. Never a word proceeded from the mouth of Jesus Christ, but what was God's Word. "The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life" (John 6:63).

When you and I are lost in the Son of God, and the fires of Jesus burn in our hearts, like they did in Him, our words will be the words of life and of the spirit, and there will be no death in them. But, beloved, we are on the way.


Why, Jesus was the triumphant One. Did you ever stop to think of Jesus at the throne of God? I like to think of the twentieth century Christ, not the Jesus that lived in the world two thousand years ago, not the humiliated Jesus, not Jesus dying on the cross for my sin, but the glorified, exalted Son of God at the throne of God, Who stands declaring, "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death" (Revelation 1:18). Blessed be God.


And that is the Christ Who breathes His power into your soul and mine, and that is the consciousness that is breathed from heaven in the Holy Ghost when it comes to your heart. Amen.

The very heart of God's my home......

Come with me today,  I'm visiting the "Bosom of the Father"....

Are you hungry today?

"Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled",

Matthew 5:6.

Break the bonds of the 5-sense realm today, get into the "River of the Spirit",

let it carry you out beyond the basics of the Doctrine of Christ, into the dimensions of the spirit-realm in which God's moves and has His Being.

"I'm in a River of the Sweet Holy Ghost"

I'm in a River of the Sweet Holy Ghost,

I feel Him bubble, and I feel Him flow,

I'm going to let Him take me where He wants me to go,

Yes, I'm in a River of God's Sweet Holy Ghost."

When you are born again you have a deposit of the God-Kind of faith, it's purpose is to help you escape the 5-sense realm and learn to move around in your new world...the new world of those who are New Creations in Christ, 2 Cor. 5:17.

Your conscious effort to do this will please God.

Read this page out loud to yourself....then you are using the 5-senses (sight, hearing) to escape the 5-sense realm!

Put the conscious effort into 'knowing God and His Son, Jesus Christ', which is knowing Life Eternal, John 17:3.
KNOWING Him is ABOVE knowing the benefits of your Redemption, that is knowing the AUTHOR of Redemption.

Have a 'humble and hungry' heart....

"The Cycle of Faith"
Faith IS & Faith DOES
Faith is:  a conviction, a trust, what is believed, an assurance.
Faith:  produces a full acknowledgement of God's Revelation, inspires a personal surrender to Him, and helps you to live the conduct inspired by that surrender.

Jesus is the Author of your faith:  Heb. 12:2
Faith is DIRECTED TOWARD God, Heb. 6:1
Faith flows with the Holy Ghost River, and that River flows TOWARD God, carrying you into His Presence, (notice the picture above...that River flowing from you, through the Cross, through Jesus and right up to the very Heart of God).

Jesus came forth from the Heart of God:  John 1:18
"No man has seen God at any time, the only begotten Son which is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared him."

Jesus was the Word of God, and where do God's Words come from...
out of His bosom, inside of Him, just as your words come forth from your 'bosom'!
......who is on the breast of the Father, he has made clear what God is. (Bible in Basic English) 
....no one has ever seen God, but the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father's heart. (Living Bible)
No human eye has ever seen God: the only Son, who is in the Father's bosom--He has made Him known. (Weymouth's)

 

Matthew 11:28 .... "Come unto me all you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest".

Rest upon the bosom of Jesus as John did.  There is something about being 'bosom' close....I think of the phrase, 'bosom-buddies'.

Colossians 3:1-3....."If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above...Vs. 3 for you are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God."

You hidden in Jesus' bosom.

Jesus is hidden in the Father's bosom.

Think of 'nesting dolls' as an example....here is a photo of them:

You are to live your life 'out of' the bosom of the Father, as Jesus did.

When we say:  "the very heart of God is my home"....

this is what we mean.....the bosom of the Father is my 'home'.

 

Let's look at one of the definitions of the word, 'cycle':

....an interval of time during which a sequence of events or phenomena is completed.

Jesus ministered on earth 3 1/2 years.  That was his 'cycle' of ministry.

Jesus went about teaching, preaching and healing.

Acts 10:38.....Jesus "went about (that is the cycle of faith)doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him".

That 'cycle' started with the Baptism of John and was completed when He said on the Cross, "Father, into Thy hands I commend my spirit."

Faith finished it's cycle in His life.

Faith in you is also moving toward a point in time....when you die, that cycle of faith will be ended, and you will stand before the Lord.

What do you want to be like in that day?

Let faith finish its cycle of work in you.

Let Heaven invade your space right now....
let the things of this earth grow dim to you right now, let your inner man 'slip the surly bonds of earth'...outward bound into the very Heart of God, to investigate the tresures that He has laid up for us in Christ, Colossians 2:3.


"The Cycle of Faith...."
A child of God has a supernatural deposit in him, a measure (Romans 12:3) of the 'God-kind of faith', (Mark 11:22).  Jesus 'breathed' this into you when you were born again, re-Fathered from above.  He is the Author of that faith in you (Hebrews 12:2).
This 'faith' is of heavenly origin and it will 'lead' you to live a 'Heaven-above-earth' life in this world, a super-natural life....above, beyond, outside of this four dimensional world in which we live.


This faith starts at a point and continues to a point...to 'present you in the Father's presence without spot or wrinkle'.


Your becoming conscious of this faith will enable you to enjoy the full benefits of Jesus death, burial and resurrection.


REMEMBER....BECOME CONSCIOUS OF:
YOU ARE NOT A HUMAN HAVING A SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE, YOU ARE A SPIRIT HAVE A HUMAN EXPERIENCE!


ZOE (zo-a) is what energizes your measure of the God-kind of faith....God's Life energizes everything in the natural world, atoms on up.  He does this in His capacity as Creator.


The billowing Cloud of His Power filling everything, sustaining everything.

 ^13-14God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He's set us up in the kingdom of the Son he loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating.  

^15-18We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God's original purpose in everything created. For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels—everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. He was there before any of it came into existence and holds it all together right up to this moment. And when it comes to the church, he organizes and holds it together, like a head does a body.

 ^18-20He was supreme in the beginning and—leading the resurrection parade—he is supreme in the end. From beginning to end he's there, towering far above everything, everyone. So spacious is he, so roomy, that everything of God finds its proper place in him without crowding. Not only that, but all the broken and dislocated pieces of the universe—people and things, animals and atoms—get properly fixed and fit together in vibrant harmonies, all because of his death, his blood that poured down from the cross.

 ^21-23You yourselves are a case study of what he does. At one time you all had your backs turned to God, thinking rebellious thoughts of him, giving him trouble every chance you got. But now, by giving himself completely at the Cross, actually dying for you, Christ brought you over to God's side and put your lives together, whole and holy in his presence. You don't walk away from a gift like that! You stay grounded and steady in that bond of trust, constantly tuned in to the Message, careful not to be distracted or diverted. There is no other Message—just this one. Every creature under heaven gets this same Message. I, Paul, am a messenger of this Message.

 ^24-25I want you to know how glad I am that it's me sitting here in this jail and not you. There's a lot of suffering to be entered into in this world—the kind of suffering Christ takes on. I welcome the chance to take my share in the church's part of that suffering. When I became a servant in this church, I experienced this suffering as a sheer gift, God's way of helping me serve you, laying out the whole truth.

 ^26-29This mystery has been kept in the dark for a long time, but now it's out in the open. God wanted everyone, not just Jews, to know this rich and glorious secret inside and out, regardless of their background, regardless of their religious standing. The mystery in a nutshell is just this: Christ is in you, so therefore you can look forward to sharing in God's glory. It's that simple. That is the substance of our Message. We preach Christ, warning people not to add to the Message. We teach in a spirit of profound common sense so that we can bring each person to maturity. To be mature is to be basic. Christ! No more, no less. That's what I'm working so hard at day after day, year after year, doing my best with the energy God so generously gives me.

If there is a wonderful single word that expresses what God is trying to develop in us. The word is CONSCIOUSNESS. I love it. It is an amazing word. Consciousness means, THAT WHICH THE SOUL KNOWS.

God's purpose, and the purpose of real religion, is to create in the nature of man a consciousness of God.

CHRISTIAN CONSCIOUSNESS is superior to every other known consciousness.

I want to declare that Christianity stands superior to every other form of religion under the heavens and in the whole earth; that no other religion under the heavens has the same consciousness of God or the same means of producing a consciousness of God that Christianity possesses.

In 1893 in this city, was the great Chicago World's Fair. Among the features of the fair was a Congress on Religions. I have always felt that if Christianity could not demonstrate her superiority over every other religion, then Christianity has not the place and power that Jesus Christ said Christianity had in the world.

But the result of that Congress of Religions was that Christianity was so poorly presented, that the Indian philosophers ran away with the whole thing.

And fellow Christians, there began in my soul a prayer that Almighty God would reveal in my soul what the real secret of real Christianity is, in order that in this world Christians might become kings and priests, and demonstrate the superiority of the religion of the Son of God beyond that of every other in the whole earth.

In later years I went to South Africa.

When the Boer War came on, the native people became so frightened over war between white men, they had to send to China and get two hundred thousand (200,000) Chinese.

At the same time there were in South Africa one and a half million East Indians. These represented all the cults of India.

I had a Jewish friend, Rabbi Hertz,

One day he said, "Did it ever occur to you what an amazing Congress of Religions we could have in this country? It would put the one in Chicago in 1893 in the shade."  It was eventually brought to pass.

We gathered once a week. We gave the individual a whole night if he wanted it, or two nights if he wanted it, to show the very best he could, the very depth of his peculiar religion, and the consciousness of God it produced. It was not the details of his religion we sought, but the soul of it, and the consciousness it possessed.

Eventually it came to the night that Dr. Hertz, the Jewish rabbi, was to give the secret of the Jewish religion, and to tell the consciousness of God that was produced by the Mosaic and the prophetic teachings.

When I listened to Dr. Hertz, my heart asked, "Dear God, when I get my turn to reveal what Christianity is, what am I going to say that is going to reveal Christianity as superior to Jewish dispensation, and the consciousness of God that it produced in the souls of the prophets?"

I prayed, "God, in the Name of Jesus, when it comes next Thursday night, and it is my turn to show forth Jesus Christ, what am I going to say to surmount the revelation of God that he gave?"

I gave myself to fasting and prayer and waiting on God. And one day in the quiet GOD TOLD ME THAT SECRET.

CHRISTIANITY IS ALL SUPERNATURAL, every bit of it. The philosophies are nat­ural. The Mosaic dispensation and its revelation was supernatural, but its revelation did not have

the high degree of overcoming consciousness

that belongs to Christianity.

You say, "It is the Holy Ghost." Well, the prophets had the Holy Ghost.

Why, when Moses came down from the mountain, his face shone or radiated with the glory of God so intensely the people were afraid of him, and he was compelled to wear a veil until the anointing had somewhat left his soul.

But, beloved, Christianity is more than that.

Paul declares that the glory of Moses' face was superseded. I said a moment ago, Christianity is not a natural religion. It has nothing natural in it. IT IS SUPERNATURAL from the top to the bottom, from the center to the circumference, within and without. It comes right from heaven, every bit of it. It is the divine outflow of the holy soul of the crucified, risen, glorified Son of God.

But in my Bible is seen that the Son of God saves men from their sins, and changes them by His power in their nature, so that they become like Him.

Jesus went into the grave with a divine boldness, not simply as a martyr. He was God's PRINCE, God's KING, God's SAVIOR. He went into the grave God's CONQUEROR. He was after something. He went after the power of DEATH, and He got it, and He took it captive, and He came forth from the grave. He had death and hell by the throat, and the key in His hands. He was Conqueror!

When He came forth from the grave, He came forth bringing that wonderful spirit of heavenly triumph that was begotten in the soul of Jesus because He had not failed. He had gone and done it. No longer a hope; no longer a faith; now a knowledge— God's consciousness in His heart. It was done!

Oh, yes, bless God, I am coming back to that word with which I started. The secret of Christianity is in the consciousness it produces in your soul.

This is the season of the bold,

when God-like men arise,

they take the flaming Word of Life,

they blaze it far and blaze it wide,

bring the Church up to size.

Today we took a walk in the heavenlies.

Did you ever think or ask yourself why God is UP.......?

And the Devil is DOWN.....?

Well, God wants you to 'come up'..... 'look up'......

He said to Abraham....

"Lift up your eyes and look"....Genesis 13:14

"Look now toward heaven".....Genesis 15:5

When the Lord appeared to him in the plains of Mamre, 

he "lift up his eyes and look and saw three men".... Genesis 18:2

Come, slip the surly bonds of earth with me,

let us dance the skies on laughter-silvered wings...

sunward let's climb and join the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds....

let's wheel and soar and swing high in the sunlit silence, hover there then chase the shouting wind along, flinging ourselves out in His Presence....the Shekinah.

Up, up, up....the long delirious, burning blue... let's top the windswept heights with easy grace....we'll go where never lark nor eagle flew.

And while, with mind now silent, we tread the high untresspassed sanctity of His Presence, let us put out our hand and touch the face of God.

A cycle is defined as:

a sequence of recurring events or phenomena 

that proceeds toward a concluding point. 

 

The Faith of the Christian Believer 

is a 

supernatural impartation 

from the Risen Christ. 

 

That Faith 

has a life to live 

and 

a work to do. 

 

It wants to live its life through your life and lead you to a conclusion: 

to present you 

'perfect and entire', 

'wanting nothing', 

in His Presence.

The main elements in "faith" in its relationship to the invisible God, as distinct from "faith" in man, are especially brought out in the use of this noun and the corresponding verb, pisteuo; they are

(1) a firm conviction, producing a full acknowledgement of God's revelation or truth, e.g., 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12;

(2) a personal surrender to Him, John 1:12;

(3) a conduct inspired by such surrender, 2 Corinthians 5:7.

With it comes a 'measure of the God Kind of Faith'.

Jesus has "authored" your faith....

now it wants to being it's work, what it was put in you to do.

I am excited in my spirit about this broadcast series.

There is nothing like moving in the prophetic Mind Of God.

It equips you to live victoriously in the present, while preparing for the future.

God did not send His Son to prepare you for heaven only,

but to equip you to live 'in this world while not of it'.

Do you hear the call?

It can be heard deep inside....that 'still, small voice', saying,

"Come Up Hither, Come Up To The Throne of God".

There we see from God's perspective the events taking place in the kingdoms of this world.

There we hear the end of the story:  God Wins.

His Counsel Stands.

He Has The FINAL 'AMEN!'

Study with me and let's learn HIS WISDOM.

His WISDOM founded the world, put the stars in their courses, in which they are to this day.

Today's Scripture Study

Isaiah 46:9&10

"Remember the former things of old, for I AM GOD, and there is none else; I AM GOD and there is none like Me,

DECLARING THE END FROM THE BEGINNING,

and from ancient times,

THE THINGS THAT ARE NOT YET DONE,

saying:

"MY COUNSEL SHALL STAND AND I WILL DO ALL MY PLEASURE".

In Ezekiel 28:1-19, we see two personages:
the 'prince of Tyre'
and the
'king of Tyre'.

From the text, it can be seen that one of a human being and the other a spirit being.
The ultimate fate of each is given by this God Who knows the end from the beginning:
both will be destroyed.

The "King of Tyrus", a supernatural being, is the title given to Lucifer, the anointed cherub, perfect and beautiful in the day God created him, until iniquity was found in his heart, his nature became the nature of spiritual death, and his identity changed to, "Satan", (meaning adversary).  How true that definition has been, from that time until now, he has been the CHIEF ADVERSARY of God, His creation and all that is good.

He is the author of all terrorism, but in the end, he shall be terrified:
Ezekiel 28:17-19
¹⁷ Your heart became proud
   on account of your beauty,
and you corrupted your wisdom
   because of your splendor.
So I threw you to the earth;
   I made a spectacle of you before kings.
¹⁸ By your many sins and dishonest trade
   you have desecrated your sanctuaries.
So I made a fire come out from you,
   and it consumed you,
and I reduced you to ashes on the ground
   in the sight of all who were watching.
¹⁹ All the nations who knew you
   are appalled at you;
you have come to a horrible end
   and will be no more.’

Prayer, God's Dynamo

In his sermon given in Chicago in 1920, Dr. John G. Lake mentioned that prayer was like a great dynamo….just as a natural dynamo draws electricity out of the air and then transmits it over long distances, prayer, a supernatural activity, is like that great dynamo, drawing God’s saving grace and creative virtue into the lives of men and women on this earth.

Space Warp

Science fiction speaks of a ‘warp’ in time, a rip in the woof of this four dimensional world, where one can slip through into another dimension, another world, another time.

That is what happens in prayer, you slip or escape, the ‘surly bonds of earth’, the pull of earth’s gravitation, the earthiness of the sense realm with its lust of the flesh, and you escape through that rend in the heavens that Jesus made when He ascended with His Blood. 

Here let us look at that ‘rend in the heavens’ from Hebrews 10, Verses 18-22…

Now where remission of these (sins & iniquities, Vs. 17) is, there is no need for further offerings for sin. 

Having, therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way,

which he has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

and having a high priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith….

Hebrews 6, Verse 19, also speaks of the ‘hope’ which we have as an anchor for our soul, this hope is both sure and steadfast and has entered into that which is within the veil, where our forerunner has entered, even Jesus, made a high priest forever after the order of Melchisedec.

“A new and living way”, “through the veil”, “within the veil”, all speaks of transcending human limitation and entering to the eternity of God….even to the point of coming boldly before His Throne.

We are still speaking of prayer….the dynamo generating God’s tremendous miracle working power here on earth.

To really understand the extent or surpassing greatness of this power, we have to slip through that warp created between the natural, and enter into the supernatural…..even heaven itself, as John did when he was on the isle of Patmos.

In Revelation 4, John tells us that he was caught up to the Throne of God, the very place you are invited to enter into when you pray.

Let’s look at what he saw:

A throne set in heaven, with One sitting on the throne, Vs. 2

The One on the throne was a spirit being, the color of a jasper and sardine stone, a rainbow encircled the throne that had the appearance of a emerald, Vs. 3

Our of the throne proceeded lightenings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which were the seven manifestations of God’s Spirit, Vs. 5

Continue with Vs. 6-11

Before we begin to pray, we need to place ourselves in this place….

this is the place we come to when we come boldly before the Throne of Grace, so that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need, Heb. 4:16….

and not just for our needs, but for the ability to be God’s dynamo in prayer and release His mercy and grace in the lives of others in THEIR time of need.

If we will lift our minds up into heavenly places, BEFORE, we begin to pray….and see God’s power, His lightnings, His beauty, ….a flooding of His Spirit will take place in our hearts and we will begin to sense that heavenly dynamo beginning to turn, and the fire beginning to burn.

The old song says,

I feel a little prayer wheel turning,

I feel a little fire, a’burning.

(from "Have A Little Talk With Jesus")

The old time saints new what it was to pray like the dynamo of God.

When Dr. Lake laid his hand on the proud flesh, seven layers of it on a man’s stomach, he prayed like the dynamo of God:   

“God, in the Name of Jesus Christ, blast this curse of hell and burn it up by the power of God!”

That, my dear friends, is the prayer of faith!

An hour later, the imprint of his hand was burnt into that devilish growth….I’m sure Dr. Lake wasn’t expecting that!  He had never seen such a thing before!

He said, “You talk about the voltage of heaven and the power of God!  Why there is lightning in the soul of Jesus.

The lightnings of Jesus heal men by their touch,

sin dissolves,

disease flees when the power of God approaches!”

We are called to generate God’s power in the earth and leave how it manifests in His hands…I'm sure Dr. Lake never expected this peculiar 'operation' of the Spirit.

Paul spoke of, ‘diversities of operation’, and ‘differences of administration’, but it was the same Holy Spirit of God who was accomplishing all these various works, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7:

⁴Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

 ⁵And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

 ⁶And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

 ⁷But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

Dr. Lake was a man who, by understanding scientific principles, and applying them to the operations of God’s Spirit, himself became a dynamo generating God’s power and then through prayer and the laying on of hands, transmitting that power to others, such as this man, for healing.

Dr. Lake saw the dynamo principle and lived a life of prayer, so as to keep generating that power…building it up within himself, so that he wasn’t laying ‘empty hands’ on people when he went to pray for them.

Empty hands would not have seen a hundred thousand people healed, and a city declared the healthiest city in the United States.

A report out of Washington, DC. said:  “Rev. Lake, through divine healing, has made Spokane the healthiest city in the world, according to United States, statistics.”

Dr. Lake, through his teachings, raised up other ‘dynamos of God’, and together as a team they functioned out of healing rooms in Spokane, ministering to people every day through the laying on of hands.

Again, I want to emphasize, that a great part of Dr. Lake’s success was based on the fact that he approached the operation of the Spirit in a scientific manner.

He raised his level of understanding the ‘operations of God’ beyond a ‘hit and miss’ operation.

If scientists operated that way, we would not have the great scientific breakthroughs we have today.  Scientists don’t do their work to ‘miss it’, but to ‘hit it’, get the breakthrough, the solution.

PRAYER ISN'T JUST A SPIRITUAL OPERATION, IT IS A SCIENTIFIC ONE, TOO.

You may still doubt this, but when you look at all the natural, scientific illustrations Jesus used to teach the principles of the Kingdom of God, you will discover that they (the principles of the Kingdom taught in the parables) had a scientific foundation.

Take the parable of the Sower….

science says to have a harvest you put seed in the ground, and it must be good ground, not thorny, rocky, scorched ground.  And then the

harvest will be varied, 30-60-100 fold.

Prayer isn’t a ‘feeling’, though you may get feelings when you pray.

Prayer is allowing God to transact some business here on earth.

James 5:16b 

The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer 

of a righteous man 

makes tremendous power available 

[dynamic in its working].

Thank you, Jesus for forgiving my sins, coming into my heart, and making me a new person inside with a new kind of Life.

God is now my very own Father,

and I am His very own child,

through Jesus Christ, my Lord,
